Title: MAP
Post by: -firecracker- on 09 March 2018, 20:38
3.4 Map

A graphical map is available here -> LINK (https://drive.google.com/file/d/13RQvZDitm6wWAFd77sckjKp88rkMImnJ/view)

Key
Green : regular transitions (two way)
Blue : regular transitions (one way)
Red : hidden transitions (e.g. trap doors or hidden doors - line end points don't correspond to the position of the hidden doors)

If you see anything missing or not quite right give me a shout as it was a very manual process :sleepy2:

This is going to be a lot of work. :) ..... nwn is an old game, did you google if there were cartography (we used to have Matt for that in 2005) / mapmaking autogeneration tools?

I had a look and couldn't find anything. I don't think I ever came across anything like that in the past either and maps always looked manually generated. I don't think it will take too long.

OK, I had a bit of spare time so I have finially completed the full map. The info and the link in the first post has been updated.

I have tried to group areas together in order to make it easier to follow and where possible directly connect maps together that naturally fit. The coloured connectors are for those longer distance transitions that don't naturally fit together.

Colour coding is as follows:

  • Green - regular two-way transition
  • Blue - one way transition
  • Red - hidden transition (e.g. trap door/hidden door) - don't necessarily point to correct spot on the map

If you see anything missing or not quite right give me a shout as it was a very manual process :sleepy2:
