Gondor vs Mordor 1 / GvM1 Players Forum / Re: Anyone else think having horses suck?

I dunno. I don't mind the horses too much. Having a horse should give you an advantage and sounds like that's what NWN horses do. I don't think the increased HP should be part of it (cause it just doesn't make sense) and the AC could be brought down, but I like the idea of having the option to use a horse.
Personally, I don't think I'll use 'em cause I am so used to hoofing it on foot, but I may try 'em out some day.
Bottom line for me, horses ADD to the game. If it's too powerful, perhaps we can dial it down but I'd be sad to see 'em go now even if I don't use them.

Gondor vs Mordor 1 / Specialty Builds / POSTING GUIDELINES
|
on: 11 September 2008, 19:28
|
Simple rules for posting in this child forum:
1) Post only final builds - Reserve your requests and general questions about builds for the main Character Builds parent forum; if any are found here, they will be moved.
2) Format your subject like this: Race - Class 1 LEVEL / Class 2 LEVEL / Class 3 LEVEL by Build Creator Example: Human - Cleric 29 / Champion of Torm 10 / Bard 1 by Supabastid Crediting the build is optional if it's you (since we can see who created the thread). Bonus points if you can find the shift key every once in a while.
3) Formatting the actual build is up to you, but try to be as clear as possible. Imagine trying to decipher your build from a newbie's point of view.
4) Questions and comments about the specific build are encouraged; just reply to the original post. That way things stay nice and tidy.

Back when I was more active, I would have loved to come up with neat little diagrams depicting all the various scenarios and things like that. They would have been little red and blue soldiers with arrows and circles and stuff, haha. Oh what a headache rules were (are).

Oh I see what pink was saying... That the zoomed in effect encourages action. I get it. But here's the thing; if I want to play Wolfensein 3D, I'll play Wolfenstein 3D. Neverwinter Nights does not make for a good first person shooter.

Making this on a PvP server now.
I hope you didn't follow the directions exactly because you will miss out on the Monk level. The build calls out for "Any Non Lawful alignment" but monk requires any Lawful. I ran through this build and I put the Rogue level at level 27 (it's 28 in the build above). Unless there's a good reason to have 31 UMD instead of 30, that's what I'd recommend. You get 6 extra Dodge AC 1 level earlier that way.

When the server numbers are low, parties get together not for the quest XP, but in case they need help. There's nothing stopping a lone Mordor or Gondor from asking for a rez on the shout channel in this case. Thumbs down to mixed parties (unless a group wants to raid Barad Dur or something like that... in which case break off and don't invite anyone else!).

pw ACTION
What are you trying to say? There's plenty of room for action on GvM; I think there's room for 1 or 2 mazes. Anyway, I for one do not really like the ceiling in the maze. The map can be modified so that only parts of it update as you walk through the map. In my opinion the ceiling doesn't have to be there to achieve a maze affect.
