thinking server should be up now. hopefully ip info never changed  LOL atm my personal pc is dead too so i cant evern log to check so i will have to wait for someone else to confirm everything

no luck fixing before vacation guys, sorry. very strange. internet works on server if i run vista, but not xp.  i will have to see about converting it to the secondary drive when i get back if i cant get it figured out. will keep u informed when i get back

 no luck last night. cant get my IT bud over before my vacation so in case any of you have an idea i will describe the problem. I thought it might be a hardware issue but the 2nd hard drive on the server goes online just fine. it has vista so i cant use it to run the server.
 the sever boots up just fine, but for whatever reason it doesnt detect the the net. if i try to diagnose the problem it tells me there is no internet, so somehow the settings got changed after i installed the fan, and after i fixed an invalid toon.
 any ideas would be appreciated so i can try to get it back up and running before i leave on vacation in 30 hours.

i am really starting to hate computers. it runs fine except now serer wont connect to net....grrr.  have somebody calling me to see what i can do over phone. if not, might be a while if a hardware issue. plus i leave for vacation in 3 days. will do what i can for you addicts

server down for a couple hours. need to go get another cooler fan. 1 died and server was running a bit hot  and loud.

ok this is what i got so far. first my dam nwn cd seems to be corrupt so i cant reinstal it, but i have it still on lap top so tried with it. i could log into server both by LAN  and by direct connect. the LAN IP was the 192.168.1.109:5121
if i used direct connect ( from history) the IP i got when i connected was 127.0.0.1:5121

All seems too funky to be right, but until i can get some IT assistance all i got

lol guess i have to reinstall game. havent done that since i got the game pc fixed...will keep advised

Also just changed firewall settings, and hopefully something helps. if not i am at a loss and iwll have to seek a higher power :/

sorry guys i didn't notice it down yesterday(daughters birthday and party so i never got on the pc). seems to be a hard drive issue with it atm. cant get it to boot up properly. hopefully i can extract and get it going on the secondary drive for the moment (have 3 drives on this machine just for this kinda issue) now i just have to remember to keep the mods updated on all 3 of em :/

i did upload terrors fix for the shifter lvl bug thingy, whatever it was..hopefully it is working properly

sorry guys internet was down when a car decided to drive thru the outside cable box control thing the other day. but they replaced it this morning 

been a while since i have been on, but unless someone changed the pvp rules...the only way you can engage somebody that you killed in under 10 mins is if
1. they attack you within the 10 mins
2. they agree to a rematch

Faction areas dont matter. if you kill them and they come back...the get the 10 mins.....after the 10 you can kill em again....
of course if terror and olle changed the pvp since i have played then disregard 

IT guy got it going. going to need to bring it down again to fix the more serious problem, but works for now..

ok.. here is the scoop. my IT buddy is away for work, and he is going to attempt to have me fix it with him over the phone today. If not, he wont be back till friday night. so i am keeping y fingers crossed

sorry guys  something happened to the server when some breakers went ( power surge?) and reverted it back to the old drive. will try to get it back....but it might take my IT bud to come over.....
