Dear GreyDeth,
You are a Prince, you are a King, you are the manifestation of what it means to be a true Bro.
For years, you have hosted this masterpiece of a server without fuss or drama. You are truly a God amongst mortals.
As one of those few that still roam these Lands of Middle Earth (when time permits), I am eternally grateful for the countless hours of fun, sweat, tears, frustration and absolute joy that this server has brought me. This would not have been possible without your selfless involvement. Thank you.
As you said, also huge huge thanks to the devs and DMs who volunteered many hours to keep this place fun, balanced, growing and active.
I would absolutely love to get a copy of the modfile/vault so I can dabble in setting this place up again if I find some time. Please shoot me a DM if you can.
Once again, thank you and god speed!

Gondor vs Mordor 1 / Specialty Builds / Re: Rabbac's Rak

I believe all shifted forms no longer allow use of metamagic.
Rak, Spectre and a few other cool builds are essentially unusable nowadays.
I think, this is is linked to some EE patch/update.

Can't believe NWN is getting a new lease on life. Totally amped for it! (Grey, please get my toon in there asap!!)
One quick Cosmetic comment: Any chance to tidy up the server name in the Server list? It's a bit....CAPSLOCKY right now.
Not gonna lie, seeing the server list populate gave me goose pumps... such awesome memories rushing back. Really hope we get a few new (and old) players coming in.
See yall in game soon I hope!

Gondor vs Mordor 1 / GvM1 Players Forum / Re: extreme difficulty of areas
|
on: 04 January 2011, 19:25

I guess I'll throw my 2 cent as well. I uninstalled the game about 2 weeks ago. Why? Because it's not worth my time. The purpose of a game is to provide you with entertainment, GvM is not providing entertainment and therefore people are leaving. Don't look into it any more than that. The "but it's an old game" argument is meaningless and invalid. Most people I talked to (ingame or otherwise) told me that IF the server was more fun, they'd play more. The game's age has little to do with it. The people bothered by the game's "outdated graphics" left a long time ago. First and foremost, I'd like to open by saying that having been in and out of this place for a while I'm pretty certain that this thread will be dully ignored by the higher-ups like the other 50 similar threads that came and went before this one. Even tough many "veterans" will throw in their opinions and everyone will agree with everyone, you can trust me on this: Nothing is going to change. We (the players) are creating this virtual discussion about what we like and what we dislike, what should change and what should stay the same, what's too hard and what's just right. I don't know if you guys noticed but most of GvM changes happen behind closed doors and in small committee. And guess what? You're not invited. New spawn system? Oh yea, I remember the players totally asking for that. That new spawn system is a disaster. Not because it doesn't work (it actually kinda works) but because it probably took dozens of hours to code, test and implement and yet wasn't needed. All these resources could've been used to open a dialogue with the players, maybe take a vote about what needed tweaking and in turn produce a positive outcome for the server. Instead, we got this new spawning systems that didn't work right (still doesn't in some places) and an overall mixed feedback from the players. Some people love it, some hate it but for the most part, people are indifferent... Why would they care? They couldn't go to the fun areas before and they can't go to the fun areas now. Let me grab my Witch King Heavy Flail to beat that dead horse a bit more. The server is indeed too hard. As the (extremely skilled) players mentioned above, the really interesting places in the server are unplayable. You assemble your posse, make your way to your desired location and then die like a tool. This sums up just about every raid that happened in December. The only exceptions to this phenomenons were the two cities, Minas Morgul and Minas Tirith. Reason for that is fairly simple. The cities have been raided so many time by vets that everyone know exactly what to bring and how to play. The same cannot be said of Rivendel, Dale, Barad and any other "high level" area. In order to survive in those hellish places, you need an intricate mixture of tactics, communication and pure luck. That and lots of boss gear that can only be obtained by raiding said places multiple times. This is known as a Catch 22. I'm not going to give any suggestion on how to improve this overly difficult server because as I mentioned above, no one is paying attention to our whining. However, while I'm here, I'd love to present another theory that shows the effects of a impossible server. It's actually so obvious I'm surprised no one mentioned it in the past: No one plays their LVL40 toons on the server. Now this is obviously not always true but it's an interesting trend that I noticed recently. At any given time, there's only about a quarter (or less) of the players that play LVL40 toons. Isn't that odd? What's even more surprising is that the people playing/levelling their lowbies usually have several LVL40s. Now why in the world would you keep going through the painfully dull process of levelling a new toon when you have some almighty 40s parked in the garage? I'll tell you why, because you can't do jack shit with those 40. When you reach 780k xp, there's nothing waiting for you. Just lots of death and frustration. If you're lucky, you'll find other 40s to run around with so you can all die together and laugh about how ridiculous it all is. So your other option is to start over. A new build! Something stronger! Something that can solo bosses! Maybe one of them shifters I keep seeing around! Or maybe a shadow tank! Yea! Well I got news for you. Unless you are one in the top 5% of elite players that are obsessed with the game AND also possess enough loot to equip your toon all in Red Letters, you won't stand a chance. Your next build will just be another creation that ends up in your vault and stays there unused. Being a competitive player I often glance at the player list and chuckle at the ridiculousness of some player's builds. I don't do it in a mean, smug, "I'm-better-than-thou" kinda way but in a "that poor sucker doesn't know what he's in for" kind of way. I'm probably preaching to the choir because if you are reading this post, it means that you took the time to come to the forums and you are likely a dedicated player, you know which builds will work and you know which will fail miserably. But for the other suckers who just wanna have fun and not be bothered with this forum BS... well... I feel for them... So there you have it, a bunch of rambling from some jerk on the internet.

Gondor vs Mordor 1 / GvM1 Future Talk / Re: Events

I voted for "on the fly". It was a toss up between that and Minis. But in all honesty, anything that takes away from the mindless grinding routine is good. A grinding event doesn't sound that attractive lol. On the flys are great because the server is sometimes packed and if Noobu happens to be around, he can do an impromptu CTF (where people actually show up!). Planned events would be the "ideal" type but let's be real, no one reads the forums. Or at least, the people that read the forums don't play On the fly all the way!

Gondor vs Mordor 1 / GvM1 Future Talk / Event Ideas Thread
|
on: 08 December 2010, 16:33
|
As it appears the newly appointed DM (Nobu!) is rather active and a big fan of events, i though I'd start a thread where we can all post our ideas for events we'd like to see.
Here goes nada:
Race to the Kings: Event Type: Mordor vs Gondor - No PvP Summary: Both cities are emptied except for their respective kings. The goal is to reach the king the fastest and eliminate him before the other faction. Mordor and Gondor start in PF and Crossroads respectively.
Protect the Player: Event Type: Mordor vs Gondor - PvP Only. Summary: Each faction put together a team. Each team gets to choose a "target" player on the opposing team. Each team must kill their chosen target before their own is killed. Everything goes down in Osg, no transing allowed. No GS allowed for the targets. Death means you must run back from your city to Osg.
Beasts Gone Wild: Event Type: Mordor & Gondor teamup - No PvP Summary: The Ghost of Smaug and the Balrog of Moria have joined forces and are planning to take over the Middle Earth kingdom. Mordor and Gondor have agreed to set aside their differences in order to stop the threat from the beasts. A united team of players must race to the Bridge of Khazad Dum where the two monsters are plotting their attack.
Will add more later. Please feel free to add your own. I'm sure we can add brand new angles to the game that will make players flock back into this great server.

Gondor vs Mordor 1 / GvM1 Players Forum / Test Build Area - Player Feedback/Suggestions
|
on: 27 November 2010, 06:17
|
First and foremost, it ROCKS. I was testing a build today that had a fatal flaw but only realised that at lvl 36. I would have lost it if that happened for the actual toon.
Ok so here's a couple of things I'd love to see added/tweaked. Maybe other players can share their ideas/experience as well.
1) Adding the Spell/Feats/Class Change flags in there would help greatly. 2) Could you make the level up system like the level down one? Right now, you go up to lvl40 directly and go down in decrements of 50k. Having 50k increment as well would also help for Harper Scout that wanna craft the potions. It took me 20 mins of killing orcs to get enough for a couple of pots. 3) A "Kill All" lever to clear out the test spawns. If you don't kill them, they stack up at the trans and assault you as soon as you get there. 4) Just wishful thinking but maybe a summoning flag/npc to spawn specific monsters to test out different spells/DR/etc...
Anyway, thanks again for the awesome addition, makes life so much easier.

Gondor vs Mordor 1 / GvM1 Players Forum / Latest PvP Event (by DM Grace) - Player feedback
|
on: 16 November 2010, 00:25
|
Figured I'd get a little discussion started on the latest event.
Overall it was very fun if maybe a bit chaotic.
The objective was to raid the cities and slay their respective leader. Each city was to be defended by 5 additional bosses selected by players.
Overall, both faction failed to complete the task as the PvP clashes took a much greater importance (and most of the time).
A few frustrations here and there. Some name calling over shout... the usual works.
The Good: - Lots of people playing so the PvP was intense and we got to see the server in a new light! (The let's-bash-each-other-relentlessly light) - DP allowed for fairly continuous gameplay. No down time. - It finally looked like there was a war going on and that's a good thing.
The Bad: - Chaos and too much to do. PvP mahem + raid = frustration. DP means that no matter how many times you kill someone, they'll be waiting for you, fully buffed, 50m down the road. Gondor had a healthy advantage towards the end but it pretty much ended in stale-mate as people got bored. - The cities are hard enough to raid under normal scenario so if you add bosses and anything-goes PvP, the thing turns into a mess in no time. - All of that could've been avoided with a bit of DM supervision. Letting us run wild might not always be the best solution.
So in conclusion, it was really fun and no harm was done, only good times. However, most people agreed that it could've been more awesomer had the event been slightly simpler. Maybe Raid only (no PvP) or PvP only in Osg or something like that.
Hope they'll be more soon!

Gondor vs Mordor 1 / GvM1 Players Forum / Re: Happy 4th
|
on: 04 July 2009, 20:11

Cool thread I have to say. It somehow wandered away from the original 4th of July tribute that CB started but I find it incredibly entertaining. Although I have to say that the "God vs. Evolution" argument has been beaten to death... I do have my own position that I believe to be right but I'm not about to go and try to convert people to my way of life. I also loved the nice jabs at Europe and their socialist states. I live in the UK, a place where the govment is trying to balance a competitive economy with high social involvements for the "less fortunate". Needless to say it's harder than leveling a Harper Scout with weapon focus in trident (GvM joke). Having lived in both the States and Europe for a while, I can safely say that it doesn't really matter much where you live, what matters are your dreams and what you do everyday to achieve them. The 4th of July marks an important date historically. It shouldn't be a point of rally for politics, religion debates, preaching or even arguing, but simply a celebration for the people, by the people. *edit* Added Snopes Link: http://www.snopes.com/history/american/pricepaid.asp

Gondor vs Mordor 1 / GvM1 Players Forum / Re: Wheres everyone gone?
|
on: 16 June 2009, 14:48

I've personally cut my game time to nearly 0 in the recent weeks.
Several reasons for that. Trying to enjoy outdoor life a bit more now that spring/summer is rolling in. Other life stuff happening but the main reason why I don't play much anymore is simple: No reason to play. In the Europe time-zone anyway.
When I peek in, the server is usually buzzing at 8-10 people. Most of which are below lvl30. Loc' usually play on my timezone as do a few other cool peeps but mainly, everyone's doing their thing so to put it simply if you play on the eurozone (especially weekdays) there is ZERO interaction between players (no PvP, no raiding, not even casual chitchat). That leaves PvM, xp-grinding and farming or simply put: solo adventuring. My position on playing solo is fairly simple, I don't like it. Despite what people may think, I don't enjoy bashing thru 10 bosses by myself. I still do it because it's the only way to get any kind of sweet loot (which I really love) and it's also worry-free gaming (log in, kill stuff, log out). As of late (and as of since forever) scoring good loot requires tremendous time commitment... as a result, many (such as myself) chose to give up on farming and fall back on other activities... which would be raiding or PvP... see where this is going?
It's now been 6 months since the wipe and the only successful raids/city thrashing have only been orchestrated by vets. "That's what it's supposed to be" you may say but I disagree. I think that by now, some of the newcomers (that joined around Jan/Feb) should be strong/mature enough to run their own offensives without having to rely on vets to grease their way in. It's always the players that have been here forever that initiate the "fun times"... Most newbies don't bother to explore or attempt quests as they are too busy squeezing 30xp out of zombies...
All the recent changes to the server have been aimed at leveling the field and preventing over-uberness and they've now accomplished that. No one is incredibly strong and anything worth having requires a disproportionate amount of time... The latest boss 'upgrade' is the perfect example of this. Why spend even one minute writing up a script to toughen up bosses when most player struggle to get past lvl 25? I truly feel the Dev team is actively working to keep the vets "in-check" rather than trying to attract (and KEEP) new players... I guarantee you that newbies (as well as 90% of GvM players for that matter) couldn't care less about the Fallen Undead dragon boss being 50% deadlier than before...
Players are not being looked after. It is assumed that they will keep coming regardless of mod updates, event activity and/or whatever... Instead of bullying the vets into moderation and normality, the DMs should empower them and restore the luster of GvM that once attracted the best players of this fine game.

1. Any items restriction? Can someone enter the contest with all "red letter" boss items to fight? 2. Are Monk and Paly/CoT (lay on hand) healing feats permitted? 3. No magic means unhasted fight for everyone. Correct? If so, don't barbs and monks get a huge advantage? 4. Any rule on running? (i.e. make an archer, hit the opponent for a few HP and then run in circles for 5 mins) 5. Shifting allowed? 6. As no spells are allowed and CSing is, we are agreeing that toons that don't have spot/listen have ZERO chance of winning? (unless in a completely open arena) (note that CS'ing and stealthing can be seen as two different things) 7. What's the prize? 8. Where are the contest for lvl40 toonsl?

Gondor vs Mordor 1 / GvM1 Players Forum / Re: EVENT
|
on: 14 May 2009, 12:50

From experience, I would say that F2F (face to face aka team battles) would be more entertaining than FFA.
I used to play an arena server that would have lots of FFA and F2F and while both were incredibly fun, it was quite evident that F2F was better.
FFA technically means "last man standing". Everyone bashes everyone 'till only one remains. While the idea sounds great, it more than often falls back into "gang fights". People that usually play together will team up vs. others and you'll have mini-mobs of 3-5ppl rampaging around 'till the last mob is standing. It's not by any mean a bad thing but it beats the purpose of FFA. I'm not saying that it's what will happen at this event, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.
It's safe to say the "best" chars will be targeted first as they will be seen as threats and as the last survivor gangs square off for the final bout, once again, it'll be all about who you know.
I'll personally join in on the FFA if I can make it but I'm not planning on winning. I'm also not expecting to see the best toon come out on top. As a quick note, Eastern time is GMT -5. So 8:30pm Eastern would translate to 3:30am GMT.
I think F2F would be more fun. We've actually had semi-organized F2F already in Osg in the past (very fun!). Each toon finds its purpose within the team and the idea of strategy becomes a main focus. I'm not seeing a bard win FFA anytime soon while it could be a key player in F2F.
I think a monthly F2F with bingo XP bonus reward would be awesome. Something along the lines of +10% xp for the winning faction for one week. I guarantee you that would bring people to play those events seriously!
Anyways, my whiny 2 cent a per usual...
PS: Here's a quick FFA strategy for those of you not too familiar with the Battle Royale event. 1. Mages have to die first. Gang 'em, spank 'em, thrash 'em. They have to die first. 50 on 1 if you have to. 2. Don't chase a guy that runs a lot. Regardless of how lame he is, you'll prolly end up dead. 3. Stay mobile (run a lot, like a Lamosaurus Rex) but don't stand in a corner. Immobile = dead. 4. The best way to survive (if you're not part of a mini-mob) is to lay low. Don't join in on a massive ganging of Turril (unless he's a mage) cause once he's dead, there's a good chance the mob will simply start whacking you. 5. Hit and run works great. Find a target who's fighting someone else, swing a couple time and step away (run like hell). Repeat until you're the last one standing ... err... last one running....

Gondor vs Mordor 1 / GvM1 Players Forum / Re: "Why do YOU play?" - The Nep Report

hehe, I wanted to wait a little bit longer before replying but this is too much...
If I was ever to write a sociology paper, I'd have 100 examples to pick from in this thread. First and foremost, I will not delete, lock, close this topic. Even though I believe it's winding down and it may have been the cause of many (if not all) the trouble, I don't believe merely closing this place will put the server back online. If it's deemed necessary to delete this thread, someone will do it. I won't.
The funny thing is that now, the people that spent HOURS contributing to this thread are seen as complainers, whiners, fun killers and more importantly they are blamed as the REASON why the server is down as the moment. Sorry to disagree but the reason why it's down is because Turril flipped the switch. Not me or anyone else. Maybe he did it as fed-up move, as a punishment, or maybe as a don't-know-what-you-got-till-it's-gone... In any event, I didn't ask for it to get shut down and neither did anyone else in this thread.
So now, I'm sure all the heroes are gonna come out of the wood-works (like Arthura) and fire some snappy typical replies "see what you did!? Happy now?!"... and everyone will try to appease Turril so that we can go back to gaming and forget about this ugly thing...
So I think I'm gonna take the easy way out of this one. I'm gonna leave the forums and concentrate on playing, if the server comes back that is.
This has been a poor attempt by yours truly to improve the server and engage discussion. It's quite obvious by now I have failed to do so, I wish good luck in your future GvM forum adventures...
See you all online soon! (I hope)
Neptune, over and out.

I figured the breaking point would be reached at some point. I didn't realize it would happen that way but something was gonna happen. When I mentioned that this thread was going to die out, this is what I was talking about. It really saddens me to see that Turril feels assaulted on all fronts. All of us put a little "although the Dev have been doing a great job..." paragraph in our posts but unfortunately, it's been greatly undermined by the humongous requests and things-that-are-wrong novels we wrote.
What I would say to you Turril is this: Don't take it a personal attack but as a cry for help. I am not writing elaborate 500 words posts just for the pleasure of ranting, and I'm fairly sure the others aren't either. Although parts of the thread sounds aggressive and bitter, it mainly comes from our fear that we're losing GvM. We don't wanna lose this place. A person with little to no interested in the server will just leave, we are trying to bring you the news and some ideas.
What we are doing is putting ourselves at your mercy. There's is little to no "exchange" here. We don't have much to "give" or "take back" in exchange for what we ask. What I'm trying to say is that you are in a position of great power. Not because you are the almighty Dev God, but because we need you much more than you need us. So by putting together this mob thread, we aren't in fact "threatening" you but begging you. It definitely sounds at times like an aimless bitchfest but the bottom line is that we need you.
What I was hoping to get out of this was a "you get one thing guys. Chose it well" kind of deal.
Of course I understand that no one can snap their fingers and everything will be Utopiath Tirith...
What I would've like to see on the other hand is a dialogue between us and the Devs. Even an abusive dialogue or a crushing dialogue. Something that shows us that we would be heard (or not head for that matter)... simply knowing that my idea(s) were good/bad/great/awful/unrealistic/retarded... anything really.
For example, I'm a bit surprised (and disappointed) that Olle didn't post. I'm guessing she took the "I'm staying outta this one" attitude and that is what I find hurtful. On the one hand there are the Dev who tell us "we've been putting all this time to fix items/classes/feats..." and on the other hand, when we bust our butts to come up with a constructive thread, it gets mostly ignored. That leads to the thread growing more bitter day after day until it reaches the point where it's just a bunch of people crying and waving their fist talking about "before was much better!"
If after 3 posts, someone from the Dev squad had come and said: "There won't be any changes for now so STFU"... that would've settled it there and then... Letting us in the dark (maybe there will be maybe there won't) only gave us more fuel to power our idea-trips and it spun out of control...
What I realize overall about the server is that changes are mainly people driven. By that I mean that you (the Devs) listen to player's request here and there and adapt them into the server. That brings a HUGE problem in that this process is done unofficially. There's nowhere I can go to track down why it was decided that this or that would be changed. It's either a democracy or it's not. I personally see the two main DMs as opposite on that matter: Turril is a "for the people" kinda guy, listens and tries to make everyone happy. We all see how that worked out lol... (hint: We, the people, suck) Olle is a dictator. "Oh the server is hard and painful you say? Good." There is no right or wrong attitude about it, but GvM needs to be clear which one it is...
So where the hell do we go from here? With a pissed off (discouraged?) Turril, a bunch of whiny vets who want a million changes and a server yo-yo'ing between 25+ and 3 players on?
That's how: The Dev team (Dev team sounds kinda lame... let's call them the Fantastic 2 (or is it 3?)) needs to simply come out and set the tone. It'll take a tiny bit of work, but come up with a action plan. This is what I mean: Example1: "The Fantastic 2 will decide all changes and nerfs, so you might as well stfu." Example2: "Every 15th of the month, the Fantastic 2 will implement a small change voted by the players." Example3: "All changes will be considered but only one player will be the players' spokesperson." etc...
The Fantastic 2 should come up with a basis for discussion. This Nep Report started as a hybrid poll/why-you-play/request thread and morphed into an orgy of tears because the Fantastic 2 didn't beat it into discipline...
So that's my 2 cent, i'm always up for discussing what's going on...but maybe that's the problem...
PS: I can't even tie my own shoes now... velcro baby!

I actually find that Pink brings good elaborate points even though he is not an active player (yet). I'm not multi-quoting him to slam but on the contrary, to try to reinforce what he's saying. That's much more like it. Why not just come out and say how bad you really think it is without the need for another player antagonizing you first? My initial post was in fact pointing out the areas that I thought needed attention and a few solutions on how to fix them. I didn’t intend to focus on my personal GvM experience per say… I was trying to keep it broad… my version (pre-mummy god) of your sorc/pally/rog build (btw i REALLY like rog3 for uncanny dodge on a build relying on 20 dodge ac). Being dominant is boring. From my understanding, Uncanny dodge only lets you keep the DEX AC bonus (and not the whole Dodge as the name might mislead you to believe) so in my mage’s case, we’re talking 1 rogue lvl to keep 2AC. http://nwn.wikia.com/wiki/Uncanny_dodgeIts a tough one for the devs. Do you cater more to the vets or more to the people who come and go after a few weeks? Personally I would think that going the route of the players that stay would be more effective (since the vets actually stay...) but thats not my decision. I like to look at this one a little bit differently. I think the purpose shouldn’t be to cater to one group or another but convert the undecided/come&go/volatile crowd into a serious here-to-stay player base. But like you said, that’s not my decision. Correct about why I left in a way though. I wasn't overly happy with how the mod was being handled. Gets a bit annoying watching crazy uber things added in, just to be nerfed 1 month later, and then to be replaced by something more uber 1 month after that. Can’t disagree there. As a player who’s usually in the top tier, it’s really discouraging to see some NPC going on “god mode” out of the blue… All in all I would say this topic is far from dead. The general topic of revamping/devamping might be far from dead but I’m fairly certain that all the momentum generated in this particular thread by all the participant is evaporating fast. The reason is very simple: We (the players) can’t come to a agreement on something we’d like changed so it must be very hard for Turril to pick a particular change and implement it. So. If Xp was jumped up a bit do you (Neptune) or anyone else think that would make players leave? Or is it fairly safe to assume that the ebb and flow of 4 week players would still be about the same while making current players a little more happy? And would an xp increase, a significant as it sounds xp increase, help to keep future players that find their way here? If XP increased, I believe the usual “play a week and leave” players would actually stick around longer and a small percentage of them would actually become full time players. The “stay’ers” will stay anyway… More xp will defo make them happy. The leavers might stay a bit longer and some might even adopt GvM. So I guess all I'm saying is that if 10 people who might be ignorantly blissful say everything is fine and 2 people say things need to be tweaked the 10 ignorantly blissful people will likely still be ignorantly blissful afterwards. That’s why I’m tempted to leave the forums altogether and just mind my own business… I have a little core of about 4-5 ppl I play with regularly and we can adapt fairly well regardless of situations… Let’s see where it all goes… *edit* Color for readability & Typos

This is SOOOOOO easy, always has been. Saving throws, simple as that. Give all of the bigby and igms spells saves. Forceful - reflex +4 to avoid the bullrush and will to avoid the stun/daze whatever it is Grasping - same, just without the reflex bonus Crushing - reflex to avoid the grasp and fortitude to resist the damage/stun (up the damage) 8th lvl bigby (forgot name) - make it straight damage, with the jacked up heartbeat mess it never works normally anyways. 20d6 bludgeon per lvl with a reflex save Same for IGMS. Give it a reflex save. Has ANYONE on GvM EVER made an evocation foci caster? maybe like 2 total since day 1? Force them to focus in order for the spells to be effective. And make Horrid Wilting Negative damage, not sure how bioware got that one jacked up in the first place. [removed 'returns' to save real estate]
I agree with those suggestion for Bigby, I'd just make the Forceful one different.... make it a Discipline check (those who play BoW will know where I come from)... Forceful targets STR... so Disc seems fitting... IGMS save for half dmg seems good but I haven't seen anyone use that spell since the wipe lol... I've seen NPC mage wipe out their own squad with it tho lol.... Making horrid neg dmg would kill the spell... A lot of semi-comon items give Neg energy protect... that'd make a lvl8 spell usuless... I think leave it be and add some fort boosting items or something....
