It does stack with other Deflection. There is also a ring from the Corsair boss in the city that gives +5 Shield AC and is only usuable by WM.

The only reason I would ever go evil would be Blackguard. Or if they made some really good weapons that were only usuable by good/evil. What's so bad about going good/evil? Is it solely because of smiters?

Haha sounds liek a lot of people need them. If they drop from Corsairs whats so hard about them? Or is it the Corsair City and not the hideout camp place?

Um... I didn't think I was kidding. Perhaps I should've refraised it and said low level builds, like builds that go till the 20's.

Also, what is the penalty for wearing full plate and goign around sneaking? Do those Hide and MS bonuses make up for it?

Tower Shield = -10 Hide/MS
Large Shield = -2 Hide/MS

So you gain an effective +8 to both skills by dropping one AC.  If you get a Shield of the Night (+6 Large Shield, +6 Hide/MS) you effectively get +14 over an average tower shield. 

As for the change in AC by going strength based.  Here's what I'm getting:

I assumed 18 starting DEX with +6 from levels.

DEX: 10(Base)+6(+6 Robe)+8(+6 Large Shield)+13(36 Dex w/ +12)+6(Amulet)+6(Ring)+4(Haste)+4(Boots)+5(Tumble) = 62 AC

STR: 10(Base)+14(+6 Full Plate)+9(+6 Tower Shield)+1(Dex)+6(Amulet)+6(Ring)+4(Haste)+4(Boots)+5(Tumble) = 59 AC

So you'd lose an average of 3 AC assuming all other equipment is the same (I gave the strength version a tower shield because if you're wearing full plate I saw no reason not to - replace the Weapon Finesse feat with Armor Prof Heavy if you go str, in my opinion). 

Hm.. I should find that shield then. Also, if I go Full Plate TS, then I probably shouldn't take SD then, because sneakign is pointless in it.

Hm... thanks for that info Noruas. And Endless yes I see your point. I would only lose 1 AC from that after all. How much Hide and MS would I gain from going 1 shield size lower? Also, how much AC would I lose if I didn;t go Dex based? I was planning on going scimitar in the beginning, but I realized they can't weapon finess. I was kinda hoping he would also be able to tank if necessary against the high AB Cleric AA, my guy, Anolnahuacatl, at lvl 23 had low 50's AB at the time, and his DEX wasn't even maxed out all the way. Also, I just remembered I didn't max out the tumble all the way, I think I got it to 15 for the Barb guy.

Also, I'd think that there would be enough Hide and MS boosting items (Elrond's Boots being a good example +15 in each) that it should counteract the Spot and Listen items. So I suppose if you invested some skill points into those 2 skills, then yes you could spot them. And I probably will not get any decent time to play now, RL is seeming to be more important then our wonderful server here.

Also, the main reason I posted this was because I've noticed there are no actual builds meant solely for PvP, or I think you can also call them twinks, on here. So... yeah!  Grin

So I was thinking about some possibilities, and a Barb 15/WM 7/SD 1 came across my mind. I was thinking of having him using a rapier and a tower shield, with just clothes for armor. I tested it out, and I could squeeze out 62 AC Hasted, and I think it was 44 AB raged at lvl 23. He would get 8 attacks a round on top of that, though he doesn't have KD or Disarm. I'll see if I cvould do his leveling up sequence on the spot.

1: Weapon Focus: Rapier
lvl's 3-15 WM feats, Dodge, Mobility, Expertise, Spring Attack, and Whirlwind Attack.
18: Weapon Finess
21: Improved Critical.

Take SD at lvl 23.
Improvements? Oh also I made him Elf in this. No big reason, I just wanted to name him after Eol the Dark Elf for some odd reason.  Roll Eyes

Ah, ok. That's kinda lame though, even though I can sorta see the point. A lot easier to deflect something with a quarterstaff then with a Scythe or Greatsword.

Ah, I can see your reasoning. I'll see what I can come up with from my side. If I ever get around to it... Also, his AC shouldn't be to bad since WM get the Stackable deflection ac or something, and if you get the +5 Shield AC ring from Corsairs guy, that'll help also.

Hm.... If this is going to be a Smiter build then why don't you go all Smiter? If this is going to be a Hitter build then why not all Hitter? Do you see what I am saying? I don't see any Great Smites so Smiting isn't going to do any good extra damage. I can see why you would want to go CHA for Divine Might however. If this was up to me I would say screw the CHA, put it all into STR, giving him a much higher AB, and then you can even add the Bull Strengths, +2 Attacks and what, 5 AB?

Just taking out the Great CHA I and II, Extra Smiting, and putting those skill points into STR you could get a potential +4 AB and Damage From that. Also well.... Maybe you should use the Overwhelming Critical... That would give you an extra 4d6 or 5d6 to damage on Crits yes? So you could either chose that or not take Great Cleave and maybe take Imp KD? I don't remember what the INT requirement is but if you arn't going CHA I am sure you could find a couple extra skill points to put into INT. And that gives you a extra feat to Max out. All inm al lthough a nice versatile build.

Haha that's a good way to put it. But... how do I say this. We have already added tons of stuff to current classes. What does PRC do to harm? To me, it premotes new builds and much more diversity. I am not saying to add all of the PRC stuff. Is there any way we could just add a couple of it? If this goes along with you Terrorble... perhaps we should make a new sandwhich?

Perhaps instead of changing classes... we could just go PRC? Woohoo tons of new possibilities there. Get rid of the Cleric Bard AA for instance and go for a Bowman Bard AA?

Hahaha, a SD Dragon. That almost sounds too good to be true... Haha I got a good laugh out of this. But hey! 2 things we agree on now. They are magical creatures, there are a lot of unexplainable things in D&D and magical things and the like. That's why it's called magical and not scientific afterall. I think the shifters are as good as they are right now. IMO, we are getting to overpowered right now, so we shouldn't be adding to builds, but rather taking away.

Unfortunately some people just don't think far enough ahead to understand what would happen if some of their 'thoughts' became reality.

A 17-20 crit range archer with a 4x multi? That wouldn't be overpowered would it?

Archers are already very powerful, and I suppose if you build them right could hold there ground against a meleer. Although, You compare a Barb Scythe user to a bowman, and the bard scythe guy beats the cleric/bard/aa in both crit's and attacks per round. But nothing can beat the AA's AB.

[EDIT]- If it is about being overpowered, maybe there is a way to give Ki Critical to a high level AA only? Or again we could just throw in PRC and put that on the Bowman Base Class.

Aw... I soo wish it was real. Those are scenes taken out of LOTR and a movie called Dragonheart. The only part I couldn't explain was the 42-49 second part of that clip.

Go to your computer icon thing you should have., then to the hard drive. Double Click on the Hard Drive icon, and it should pop up a list, where one of the folders should say NeverwinterNights. Also, if you can't find the Hard drive icon for some crazy odd reason, you should also have search thing on the top right corner of the computer icon list.

There was a discussion on the forums as to how we viewed Keen, and if we shoudl take the literal meaning of it which would only apply to slashing weapons, or go Out-of-the-Box and say that it applies to any well made weapon. I liked the second idea A LOT better. Grin

Yes, if you don't go Arcane Archer when you make a build then anyone with a Damage Reduction Buff would just thwart you. Unless Ki Strike does apply with Bows?

Also, is there anyway we could put a longow/shortbow as feats into the WM Weapon of Choice? I am thinking not since you would have to make a new feat, but well, I don't know anything about scripting. Also, why do Clubs get Keen and Longbows don't?

Improved KD performed by a huge creature like a Dracolich gives it a big bonus to AB.

Haha, well I think they call that a loophole!  Shocked And how much of a bonus would IKD give?

People ae complaining about that? Anything that is suppose to hit can just tear through that Dracolich, and if you have half-decent AC he shouldn't be able to hit you.
