ah forgot to mention ... rebooted yesterday (July 3rd 2016)

I really have no clue what can be wrong here  ... fire probably can ...
But the server hasnt restarted for a while ... so I rebooted just now
hopefully that will do the trick

Wow thats a tough one ....

I have searched the servervault for any clues and consulted the databases ... but so far I can only see pinkpuff ... (and in database only 1 other toon-reference: Ion Rise)
boogersugar or grevax are nowhere to be seen.

Will be away for 2 weeks holiday (Cyprus till 6 may) with wife and kids.
So rebooting will not be done by me these 2 weeks.
Think/hope somebody else will take care of this.

High peak players online is pretty much over lately indeed.
I for one stopped playing because rules didnt change ... see:

and especially: "if you really feel the urge to pvp ... kill ! ... but plze ress ... even with DP on"

Bazzbass has also stopped playing because of this.
(And Yoghurth who did came back sometimes to play along with us ... also ceased to exist online in GvM because of this)

Maybe when the server is really without players ... we will come back ... just to avoid the real die-hard pvp-players who refuse to resurrect when DP is on.

But maybe its a returning cycle ... some periods there are almost none and other times there are much more ... at least it was this way since I host the server.

Dunno what is wrong ... but just noticed I cannot access my server (which GvM is depended on) correctly anymore.
(Web content looks damaged or something ... or maybe even hacked)

Had to restart my server to make sure its indeed broken ... so GvM server just rebooted too.

Did fix it with a workaround ... but probably need to er-install my whole server soon ...

I'll keep you all posted when gvM will be down / will reboot

Not running windows 10 yet ... but doin quite a lot of work-related research about it ... we want to deploy windows 10 beginning of next year.

Totally different issues at work ... because its ... well enterprise / domain / network / right issues / etc. ...
Windows 10 for home use is much much different.

Not sure if there are real issues there, except the "update part" of course  ... "forced" updates keep on coming to you ... big problem for companies ... but for home use, probably only annoying at best.

Furthermore ... "edge" / explorer 11 ... some websites will not work anymore ... must "fall back" to windows explorer 11 then ... and even then it could be problematic.

More issues: privacy  ... work and home will merge more and more .... not funny in my opinion ... at work I do much different things then when I am at home with my windows machine ... but "the cloud" will remember you're things more and more ... and at some points will "harass" you when you least expect it ... mostly with browsing history on the internet ... much like google does to be honest ... but its now youre whole operating system which is responding to private things (like Xbox gaming)  ... not only google browsing things.

Also Microsoft is becoming more like Apple each update ... microsoft store will be like applestore ... and goes beyond that.

To be honest am not really enthusiastic about it ... and very reluctant to let go my fine and almost perfectly running windows 7 machines.

But new laptop users ... will not getting any choice ... windows 10 is becoming THE standard there first.

So end of the story is: ... windows 10 will be THE windows experience for everyone who keeps using windows ... there is no escape!

But I agree its indeed .. "vs" .. so allowing assault from opposition should naturally be discouraged ... pvp-style!! ... I get that.
(only I'm not fond of pvp ... but thats probably my problem)

DP is very nice thing to have "on" but the message NOT needed to resurrect ... should be removed ... at least that's what I think.

The game is developing and evolving kinda towards new situations (mostly because lack of enough players) so please let "the resurrect part" be one of these evolutions.
