I believe the smallest party to run Barad Dur was two, on two separate occasions, but both groups had DM assistance.  But don't quote me on that.

Two for sure but that was when a wizard could dominate the barad dur guards and archers.  Which I don't think they can anymore.  I've been there with three thou.

Robin and Pinky were able to do it with Arwen watching over them

Forgereth and Paul(with Tuti) were able to do it, dunno if they had a DM presence around

I was talking to Roxor, now playing number-1 he said he would go by himself... Charge the gates at least.

YBR and I could do most of it.

Just need a good tank and a hitter.

I have done most of it with 2 with a couple different people.

Not easy at all though.

Wow... is good see thats i continue being remembered...

To Barad Dur you have 3 ways
1 - Go dominating things over the way ( DCs like 40+ )
2 - Go in a party with a tank ( crit.immune and cant be undead - NO SHIFTERS ), a damage dealer ( evocation mages, high, realy high AB guys, etc ), a rogue or someone with a high disarm trap, and someone to ressurect people and stay in GS or far from problems over all the way
3 - Get some GM suport =)

When i played some months ago, me and tutti, go there almost all days, or something like it, when we found a GM there, is he watching us ( probably looking if we are not cheating or something alike )...

Tips
» Creatures there have 80+ AB, with 250+ dmg in criticals ( they do it alot )
» The priests ALWAYS will turn all undead from players there, so forget shifters in undead shape
» Epic Spell Mummy Dust works only to be a target to enemies ( and die realy fast )
» Make a good plan, almost all the way is unable to rest, and in main city have to many enemies to allow you rest in someplace, so, only damage mages dont will work there
» CAREFULL WITH TRAPS, almost any wrong step there may be your last
» Forget that place, is only to crasy people or anyone dont have nothing to do, or nothing in mind XD

Tried soloing with my dragon and with my exalted sorc. and barb pm tank and was quickly killed noticed that in most areas if you hug the available walls you can avoid the traps and the archers wrath.

Maybe you should try to make an elf monk and run though like the wind hopefully spotting/avioding the traps as you go  Smiley
Hmm might try that myself  laugh

Barad Dur for me is where people show how to cross over the line from perseverance to not fun.  It really isn't fun for me.  So I don't go.  I see it more like a Kobayashi Maru test....
