Hi all,

Turril posted about an event tonight in Admin announcements...
It's s'posed to be at 9:00pm EST. Are my calculations correct when i say that would be 23:00 GMT?

Might I say this was an AWSOME event.  This is exactly what I've been missing. And it was awsome how EVERYONE won something for just participating. (Next time make something harder for us Turril. :p) But it was really really REALLY fun for me.  I look forward to more events in the future, and hopefully, more people at those events. ^.^

9pm Eastern (21:00) would be a lot more than 2 hours "later" for GMT (23:00), more like 5 (02:00).  Not counting for anyone being on "Daylight Savings/Summer" time.

I like events too, but just can't make most of them due to Time Zone issues.  Are there any Euro DMs?  If so, could they run some stuff occasionally?

rofl... 9+4 != 23 (i was trying to take daylight savings into account, but then it would have been 9:00 EDT, right?)

Right... and there i was wondering why it took so long... and going to bed because i almost fell asleep staring at the screen

edit: some problem as Shins with the timezone here... Stop having a life and do those events in the afternoon!  Evil jk, jk

For people in Europe, couldn't we just run events earlier here? Just make it around 5 pm est maybe, or would that still be bad timing for people. Just thinking it's not too hard to make the events earlier here if we could still get a good enough turnout.  Though I'm not 100% sure about that. Just a thought.
