Remake of Parknutz Bard/BG/RDD needs help pls

Wemic - Bard 26, Blackguard 4, Red Dragon Disciple 10
STR 23(42), DEX 9, CON 14(16), WIS 8, INT 13(15), CHA 14(16)

Pre epic
Blind fight, Power Attack, Cleave, Weapon Focus, Divine Might, Divine Shield, Improved Critical

Epic
E. Weapon Focus, Epic Prowess, Still Spell, Curse Song, Great Strength, (AND 2 MORE)
Bard bonus feats - Lasting Inspiration and E. Skill Focus: Taunt

For the 2 extra epic feats I'm torn between expertise/imp. expertise, and Armor Skin/E. Focus: Perform

I've never built/played a bard before, so don't really know how I'm going to get Perform to 75 (or 80 for lvl 26).  43 points plus 3-9 for CHA = 52.  Epic focus might get it to 62.  I tested doing bard song 2X to get the bonus to perform for the 2nd song, but it doesn't seem to work.

Any help appreciated.

Can you share if this wemic build actually received the rdd bonus ac? Because I've found out some time back (and posted the same on forum) that wemic does not seem to receive the palemaster ac bonus at all.

I have a similiar build, and I quite enjoy bards. 

I think my build got 80 ac with max Dodge armor (5 from boots, 4 from haste, 6 from bard song and the rest which was 5 from divine shield), and 60 ab buffed with bard song and warcry. Think I had armor skin.

With imp expertise you would then get 90 ac, which is really quite decent!

Bard song skills: 43+ 9 from cha + 3 from skill focus + 10 from epic skill focus = 65. Your first bard song increase the skill more (not sure how much, lets say 10) and then there is items that boost perform aswell. This makes 80 perform

Leveling my toon now - Tauntnutz -

1) Got the RDD AC increases on the character record (+1 at 1st RDD level, another +1 at 5th RDD). 

2) Sky, are you sure a second song will give me the bonuses?  If I get to Perform 52 (43 + 9 from CHA), then equip gear to get +26 Perform, I'm at 78.  When I sing I'll get +14 to skills, for 92 perform.  If I sing again, I don't think the new song is based on 92 Perform, is it?  Because I'll then have to unequip some gear to fight and my Perform score will go back down. 

As an aside, anyone know of good gear that bumps perform?  Stuff I'd keep equipped?

I made this build back in the day but I focused on dmg rather than AC. I went with great axe and dropped Divine Shield for something else. I remember I made this specifically to kill Balrog. I still have the specs with me if anybody is interested.

If you want to go high AC route, some changes are required

Try this:

Level 9 : BG      - Weapon Focus: (One Handed Weapon)

Level 13: RDD   -
Level 14: RDD   -
Level 15: BG   - Divine Shield


You would also need to sacrifice 2 Great Strength's in order to get Improved Critical and Armor Skin or just 1 Great STR for Armor Skin

Also this build was thought out using the Corroded Banded Mail (No arcane spell faillure) The AC version would probably use full plate and tower shield, so it would be best to change Extended Spell for Still Spell.
Or you could use a shield and full plate without arcane spell failure and keep extended spell.


With the high AC version it's best to use Dancing Shoes or Bards Boots (Bard the Bowman) so you can get more AC.

To use Level 26 bard song, you need 80+ Perform before the song, to achieve that you would need to equip some items with Perfom before singing, after the song you can switch back to regular items and still be able to use Level 26 curse song, because bard song adds +15 to skill. That should be more than enough to use curse song without perform items equipped.


High AC version AB: 63/68
High AC version AC: With armor +7/Boots +5/Amulet +7 e all buffed it should be 82 using full plate and tower shield


The effective AB of this build can go to mid 70s when fighting against high AC NPCs because of curse song and taunt, since those lowers the enemy AC.

Haha, I'm doing the same I PM'd Grey to restore my toons so just waiting.

Even though I've been 'active' on the forums since the switch to EE, I've yet to actually play. I've only logged in as DM on occasion and do a little dev work when required.

Playing time is very limited for me these days as life has changed a fair bit since 2-3+ years ago, but kind of hoping to team up with who-ever from time-to-time.
