Thought I'd use Supa's outline and post one of mine.  It's a tenser's build and kinda fun.  It won't ever walk thru MT or many tough areas without trouble but I've had it for over 2yrs and have also gone back to playing it from time to time because I enjoy it.

Cast Tenser's Transformation for +13ab with a bless and aid pot for 61/56/51/46.

 

Hitpoints:  318 - with no item/spell con buffs.  Add +6-8 with item/spell and you get 438-478.


My reasoning for things you might find strange


Taking 5WM then waiting until lvl20 and lvl40 to take the 6th and 7th WM levels - it's all about maxing your disc, listen, etc before going a lot of levels without being able to increase it.


Why not more wiz levels pre-epic so you can get Autostill spell sooner – this should be obvious, but if you take any more Wiz levels you lose your 4th attack/round and precious pre-epic bab (base attack bonus).

 

Taunt/Tumble - you need all the ac you can get and taunt, even if only at 21, is still useful sometimes.  Besides, you have loads of skill points and gotta put them somewhere.


Other Misc info

 

At levels 36 and 39 you can choose what you want for feats.  Good possibilities are:  epic skill focus disc or conc, gr int II/gr str II, mummy dust, greater spell pen, combat casting/improved combat casting.


UMD isn't really a problem with this build.  Between fighter and wizard you can use the majority of things you'll really want to use anyways.

 

Other Viable Options


Paladin or Ranger12/Wiz27/1Monk for evasion and full tumble and maybe a dual weapon toon (but like most of those it'd just be for show )

 

Fighter12/27Wiz/1Rogue for UMD, full tumble, and a load of other roguish skills.

 

This build could get a few more total ab by limiting the number of points you put into INT.  I just liked the extra spell slots and higher int since it is primarily a caster.

 

Wizards will always be short on spells which means use wands and scrolls for things that they work for.  Especially during tenser's when you can't cast your normal stuff.

 

Get a "Gay Blade" for this build and go to Edoras and do upwards of 700dmg/round on everything there.  It's funny.  For more fun, walk back to Eastemnet and well you get the idea.

This is a fun build. I made mine an elf and took 8 lvls of wm for skill dump listen on sneakers. I also went more on the STR than INT.

If you can get one of bosses to drop their uber longsword this build would be quite good.

Im just going to guess and say its a Star blade that dropped in Lorien prewipe.(longsword)

I know collin09/underdark horde had a tensers ftr wm wiz pre wipe he went 26 wiz and a extra ftr lvl as I recal to get epic wpn spec. toon was  named collin and was prety effective.  

  The main problem in the current environment is mordenkanens disjunction..... but a few back up stilled tensers and hastes and it could still kick arse I imagine!

 also thought about monk8 bg6 sorc26 along the same lines but relying on 12 divine might for damage rather than the crit multiplier you could max dodge ac too that way but suffer on skills...ah the trade offs

Ahh it's my dear Maura Ashfall build... and incidentally the reason I always wanted Tenser's to function.  This was the 2nd build and my 1st level40 on GvM.  In PnP as a kid I always played rogues but always wanted to do a fighter/wiz type.  The AC and HP were an issue but with an old FoN I and 61ab I could rip thru so much stuff.

I definitely would have gone elf too, and put a little more effort toward STR.  Being able to throw down a lvl27 mords disj, crushing hand, and a few horrids was very tough to beat on a char that could hit you hard too.

I did 5rogue/9BG/26sorc DEXer with a rapier/smallshield as my other tenser's build.  Sanitation specialist could get around 60ab/80ac and did rather well in PvP.

If you want stupid amounts of damage try cleric9/monk3/bg28..

Gets something like 62ab with dual kamas, 14 attacks, might/shield for 80ish ac, uber summon, and something like 11d6 sneak attack.

Don't wanna hit a shielded mage, but against something that isn't crit/sneak immune you would be a flat out menace. Just think how easy you would rip thru places like edoras...

It maybe a stupid question PP but why 9 cleric?

Just asking as i was toying with a monk 9/sd 5/and BG or pally 26 build  for epic dodge.. I cant decide whether to go for the BG sneaks or the Pally's holy sword spell (cast on 2 kamas)

You would get access to 5th lvl spells

Want a pally with epic dodge? try 23 pally 16 sd 1 rogue. should be around 60ab buffed. decent ac can be worked in with divine shield and a long haste from blinding speed. Damage wouldn't be much unless you went with a handaxe for x3. 5 magic from divine favor 10 from divine might.
